Third grade is all about collaboration! We are becoming very confident with our singing and playing abilities, and now we get to experience ensemble. In our ensembles, we have some students singing, some playing instruments, some dancing, and even some improvising their own rhythms and melodies! We perform more difficult movement activities and are able to sing and play independent parts. In the spring, we will prepare for fourth grade recorders by learning the names of the lines and spaces on our treble clef staff. We experience many different kinds of music and are comfortable with solfege and basic rhythmic sequences.
